ATTENTION SENIOR CLASS OF 2021

Final exam week for seniors will be the week of May 24th

IMPORTANT GRADUATION INFORMATION!!!!

We know you are anxious for details surrounding graduation this year. While more information will come later, I would like to share what we have thus far.

 

Graduation will be held at:

 

FSW’s Suncoast Arena

June 6, 2021 @ 2:30PM

Tickets

  • There are 2 tickets per attending graduate available at each ceremony. This is a district guideline, therefore there will not be additional tickets available for any ceremony.
  • All guests, regardless of age, require a ticket. This means infants, small children, caretakers, etc. All persons require a ticket.
  • Ticket distribution details will be given at a later date.
  • The ceremony will be livestreamed and the link will be found on our website closer to the ceremony date.                                                                                                                  
  • Masks and physical distancing between parties will be required in this venue
  • ALL BOOKS MUST BE RETURNED AND ALL FINES MUST BE PAID BEFORE RECEIVING ANY GRADUATION TICKETS!!

 

Regalia

Cap and gown are required for the ceremony. If you have not already purchased a cap and gown for your student, this can be purchased through Herff Jones

        

Senior Dues

Senior dues are $50 for students.  These must be paid (along with all fees and fines) before students will be permitted to pick up cap and gown and graduation tickets.

 

GRADUATION CEREMONY PICTURES:

A professional photography company will take pictures as seniors receive their diploma and when they exit the stage. Those photos are emailed to you to proof and then order on-line. 

 

There will also be a video made of the entire ceremony which will be available for sale.

GRADUATION DRESS CODE:

FEMALES- wear a dress, skirt/blouse, dress slacks/blouse and dress shoes. NO sneakers or flip-flops are allowed. No large dangling earrings or flowers are allowed to be worn. Caps must be worn level with the tassel hanging to the right side. The white collar is attached to the black gown for females.

 

NOTE: Parents, please give the flowers to your child AFTER the ceremony, as they will not be allowed to carry flowers in the procession

 

MALES- Wear a dress shirt, tie, dress slacks, and dress shoes or boots with socks. NO sneakers or flip-flops are allowed. Caps are worn level with the tassel hanging on the right side.

 

There is NO writing allowed on tops of caps!!.

 

HONOR STOLES

These are worn by seniors at graduation with a cumulative GPA of 4.0+ AT THE END OF THE FIRST SEMESTER OF THEIR SENIOR YEAR. Eligible seniors will be notified in January.

 

CAP AND GOWN INFO

 

* Cost is approximately $50 for basic cap and gown package that includes cap, gown, tassel, & medallion; payment goes directly through Herff Jones/Grad Pro Inc. (Price will increase after January 2021)

 

* NEW caps and gowns this year so using a former all black gown will not match- highly suggested to get early

 

* When ordering cap & gown online PLEASE be sure to choose Mariner High School in Cape Coral, FL...there is another Mariner High School in Washington

FINEST KIND SENIOR AWARDS

 

Every year Mariner High School recognizes seniors for academic excellence and scholarship in an awards ceremony.  

This year the Mariner High School Finest Kind Awards Ceremony will be virtual and will be made available beginning May 24th on the MHS website

Please take this opportunity to be recognized for all of your hard work and accomplishments by completing and submitting the attached google form. If you do not submit this form you will not be recognized. The deadline to submit the google form by May 7th, 2021:

If you seek ANY type federal assistance you MUST COMPLETE this form and have this info sent to all colleges you have and ARE GOING TO APPLY TO. In order to complete this form, you will HAVE to use your parents tax returns for 2018 or 2019.
